Category:Turkish diaspora by countryThe invention relates to a high-voltage relay for closing and opening a high-voltage circuit, the contactor having a contact circuit with two movable contact carriers, each movable contact carrier having two separate contact contacts, each of which has a contact portion and a support. The two contact portions have a contact pressure which is greater than the contact pressure of a contact portion of the other movable contact carrier.
The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a relay.
Relays of this type, which are provided in high-voltage systems, are known. They have the advantage of high switching reliability. This high switching reliability is due to the fact that the contact pressure is substantially greater than that of conventional relays with a single contact, where the contact pressure of the single contact depends on the contact resistance. As the contact pressure of a conventional relay increases, the arc that occurs at the contact, if this relay is opened, arcs in the contact circuit. This arc melts the contact.
However, high contact pressures, in particular in the micro-switching range, lead to very high electrical forces, which act on the individual contact portions, so that the contact pressure acting on the contact portions can be increased only very little by manufacturing techniques, so that the contact pressure is limited.
